2 player games
36 games for two or more people sharing one screen. No second device, no room codes, no waiting for a match — and no internet play at all.
These split the controls so both players use the same device at once — one on each half of a touchscreen, or one on WASD and one on the arrow keys. Board and card games pass turns instead, keeping each hand private.
Two things worth saying plainly. 3 of them are keyboard-only and will not work as two-player on a phone — they are laptop games, and their pages say so. And nothing here connects over the internet: two-player means two people within arm's reach of the same screen.
The rest are the games worth opening when there are two of you and one phone: a bus stop, a queue, a lunch break.
