About Bed Brawl

Two floating islands, one bed on each, and a small isle in the middle with a golden hammer on a pedestal. You start with ten blocks. Lay them into the gap to build a bridge, walk over, and punch the other bed until it breaks. While your bed stands, falling into the sky costs you two seconds and nothing else. Once it is gone, the next fall is the last.

Fights are all knockback. Nobody has health; every punch shoves the other player back, and each one lands harder than the last until they have had a few seconds to recover. So a scrap in the middle of an island goes nowhere, and the same scrap at the edge of a bridge ends the match. The generator pad on your island keeps stacking fresh blocks, which you can spend on bridges or on walls around your own bed. The hammer respawns every twelve seconds and makes every hit count double for nine.

Play the CPU on three settings, or two people on one device — split the keyboard, or lay a phone or tablet flat between you with one set of controls at each end. Matches last two and a half minutes at most; when the clock runs out both beds break and it is last one standing.

What is different about this version

You cannot walk off an island by accident. Moving stops at the edge unless you are holding Build, in which case you bridge instead, so the only way into the sky is to be hit there — every fall is the other player's doing. Knockback builds up instead of health going down: each punch adds to how far the next one sends you, and that build-up drains away over a few quiet seconds. A player who has just been hit also flinches for a moment before they can swing back, so the first clean hit in an exchange usually wins it.

How to play Bed Brawl

  1. Walk to the edge of your island and hold Build while you keep walking — a bridge lays itself one block ahead of you.
  2. Tap Build facing solid ground to put up a wall block instead. Hit a wall block once to knock it out.
  3. Stand next to the other bed and hit it four times to break it. The small cubes above a bed show how many hits it has left.
  4. Hit the other player to shove them. Repeated hits push further, so corner them near an edge.
  5. Step on your generator pad to collect the blocks stacked there, and grab the golden hammer from the middle isle for nine seconds of double hits.
  6. Break their bed, then knock them into the sky to win.

Controls

DesktopPlayer one moves with WASD, hits with F and builds with G; player two uses the arrow keys, L to hit and K to build. Against the CPU, Space and Shift also work. Escape pauses.
Phone or tabletA stick on the left to move, Hit and Build on the right. In two-player the second set of controls sits at the far end of the screen, turned round for the person opposite.
PlayersOne or two people on the same device. Nothing here plays over the internet.

Strategy

Blocks are the real resource. A bridge costs four, a proper wall around your bed costs five, and the pad refills slowly, so spend them on whichever job is urgent. Attacking early with a bare bridge is fast but leaves your own bed open; walling first is safe but hands the middle isle and the hammer to the other side. When you fight, think about direction rather than speed: stand so the edge is behind them, not behind you.

Questions about Bed Brawl

Is two-player online?

No. Both players share one device — one keyboard, or one touch screen with a set of controls at each end.

What happens when the timer runs out?

Sudden death. Both beds break at once and the next player to fall loses.

Can I stop the CPU from breaking my bed?

Yes. Wall it in and meet the CPU on the bridge. The Hard CPU walls its own bed in and tries to push you towards the nearest edge.

Does it cost anything?

No. Bed Brawl is free to play, runs in your browser, and needs no download, install or account.
