The game guides, control references and strategy notes on this site describe our own games as they are built, and we keep them accurate — but games are updated, and a page may briefly lag behind a change. Game results and scores

Scores, streaks and best times are calculated by the game running in your browser and stored there. They are not verified, not submitted anywhere, and not compared against other players — there is no leaderboard on this site and no server keeping count. Anyone with developer tools open can change them, which is exactly why they are not treated as a record of anything.

Difficulty and computer opponents

The computer opponents in these games are deliberately modest. Difficulty labels describe how the CPU is configured — search depth, reaction delay, aim error — and not a guarantee of a particular challenge. A description on a game page of how an opponent behaves is a description of the code at the time of writing; if a game is tuned later, the page is updated, but the page may briefly be behind.

Classic games and other people's trademarks

Several games here are our own implementations of games that have existed for a very long time — chess, draughts, ludo, carrom, sudoku, solitaire, pool, snakes and ladders, housie. The rules of those games belong to nobody, and our versions are written from scratch.

Where a game on this site resembles a commercial product, it is not that product, is not licensed by anyone, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any company. We describe our games by what they do rather than by borrowing a brand name. If you believe we have got that wrong on a particular page, tell us and we will change it — we have done exactly that before.
