Arena Strike 3D
Eight waves in a closed octagon, twelve rounds to a magazine, and no reload button
About Arena Strike 3D
One room, eight sides, a ring of pillars and a few blocks of low cover. Nothing spawns outside it and there is nowhere to retreat to, so the whole game is about managing the space you are standing in. Eight waves, growing from a handful of attackers into a crowd, and the arena is finished when the last of them is down.
Everything coming at you is melee. No enemy guns, no incoming fire to hide from, no ranged duels — what you are fighting is a closing distance. Each attacker walks until it is near enough, stops dead, winds up in plain sight, then throws itself at you in a straight line. That pause, and the long recovery after a lunge that hits nothing, is where the fight is decided.
Your rifle holds twelve rounds and puts a body shot at roughly a fifth of an attacker's health, or a head shot at two and a half times that. Ammunition never runs out; the magazine and the second spent reloading are the only limits on it. Health does not regenerate, and the only way back up is a pickup dropped by something you killed.
What is different about this version
There is no reload key. The rifle reloads only when the magazine runs dry, which turns twelve rounds into a decision rather than a resource — you cannot top up in a quiet moment, so the only way to control when that second of vulnerability lands is to choose when the last few rounds get spent. Firing three into a wall to force the reload while nothing is near you is a legitimate move. Health works the same one-way: a kill has a modest chance of dropping a pickup, but only while you are already hurt, and it disappears unused if you reach it at full health. Nothing can be banked for later.
How to play Arena Strike 3D
- Click or tap to lock the view, then look with the mouse and drive your feet with WASD.
- Hold to fire. The rifle is fully automatic, but the sight climbs while you hold it.
- Head shots kill an ordinary attacker outright; body shots take two.
- An empty magazine reloads itself, which costs about a second.
- Watch for the wind-up — an attacker that has stopped is about to lunge.
- Step aside as it commits, then shoot it while it recovers.
- Clear all eight waves to finish the arena.

Strategy
The lunge is committed. Once an attacker launches, its direction is fixed for the whole of the leap — it cannot correct, and if you move sideways as it goes, it lands where you were and then spends the best part of a second backing off and recovering. That is the rhythm of the entire game: let them come, sidestep, shoot the thing that has just missed. Because they hold still during the wind-up too, most of the head shots you will land are on an enemy that has already stopped moving.
You are roughly twice as fast as anything in the room, which means nothing ever has to catch you. The arena's pillars are there to be circled; putting one between you and an advancing group interrupts the approach entirely, because they need to see you before they will commit to a strike. Backing away in a straight line, on the other hand, is how you end up cornered against the wall with three of them arriving at once.
Aim matters more than volume. The rifle's spread opens up with each shot and with your own movement, and it settles again within about half a second of stopping, so a pair of shots from a standing position is worth a held trigger while sprinting. That economy becomes critical against the heavy attackers in the late waves. They carry well over six times an ordinary enemy's health, which is more body shots than a magazine holds — five clean head shots will do it, and anything less means reloading mid-fight with something very large already lunging at you.
Mistakes that cost you the game
- Holding the trigger down. Recoil widens the cone within a few rounds and you spend a magazine on hits two taps would have landed.
- Backing away in a straight line. It keeps them in front of you and walks you into a wall.
- Firing off the last rounds at long range, so the reload arrives at the worst moment and you chose it.
- Trying to out-damage a heavy attacker with body shots. That maths does not fit inside one magazine.
Tips
- Shoot high. Two and a half times the damage turns most kills into single shots and makes the late waves survivable.
- The pause before a lunge is a free stationary target. Take the head shot then rather than while it is walking.
- Empty the magazine deliberately during a lull so the reload happens on your terms.
- Keep moving around the pillars rather than through the open middle. Breaking sight of a group stops them attacking at all.
Questions about Arena Strike 3D
Can I run out of ammunition?
No. Only the twelve-round magazine and the reload between magazines limit how fast you can shoot.
Does health come back on its own?
No. Kills sometimes drop a pickup, but only while you are hurt, and it restores a quarter of your health.
What changes on the harder settings?
Attackers are faster, waves are larger, the wind-up before a lunge is shorter, and the heavy enemies start turning up several waves earlier.
Does it cost anything?
No. Arena Strike 3D is free to play, runs in your browser, and needs no download, install or account.
